Do I need display port to my monitor cuz people say that display port is the best way to connect monitor to gpu, but is there any difference between display port and other cables? Is it faster or what? Do I really need it?

Afaik you can use displayport cables for a longer distance than hdmi, then again who needs 50feet of displayport cables. Displayport supports 4k (I think DP 1.2)
