Looking for Upgrade Advice! Techies Assemble!

Hello,

I come to you asking for some knowledge and advice. In my current gaming rig (4 years old) I was planing to overclock my CPU and upgrade my GPU to a GTX780 or GTX780Ti. Will my CPU bottleneck the GTX780/780Ti?

Another option would be to save up and eventually upgrade my Motherborad, GPU and CPU.

The goal is to improve my gaming experience and ensure future games are able to run decently at high resolutions. I am planning to play games such as Titanfall (once it comes out of course, no system specs as of yet), some BF4, COD: Ghost (Unplayable at the moment; lag, stutters), Mass Effect 4, Watchdogs, The Division and etc…

I normally play at 1920x1200 resolution, I would be happy with getting 60fps and above in multiplayer games or 30fps and above on single player games.

Please, advice. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Your CPU would probably bottleneck your GPU by 1-3 frames, which isn't much. As for upgrading your GPU, you will be able to play all those games you mentioned at 60+ frames with a 780TI.
