Looking for a laptop

Hi, I'll be going to college soon to study computer science. I need a recommendation for a laptop that I can game on, edit, and use for school work. Im not inclined with computers, so I need all the help that I can get. The amount that I'm willing to spend is around $1000 but I'm willing to spend more if it's worth it.

You can get a laptop like the razer blade for 1400-1500. Its pretty steep but linus gave some good reviews about it. Its also not that huge and its also pretty powerful

Where are you from? Preferred weight (kg) and battery life (hours)?

I'm in the US the weight doesn't matter but I would like a decent battery life

What sort of games do you play and do you edit 4k video or 1080p??? I think a laptop with an i7-8750H and GTX 1050TI/ 1060 should be good.

If you need more horsepower the Dell G5 / G7 are good but you might get only around 4.5 hrs of battery life. If you don't require as much power maybe an Ultrabook might work.

theres the new note book with the 8th gen cpu's just make sure u get those
