i want to buy the 1070ti i have the i7 3770k cpu will it bottleneck?

What framerate and resolution do you plan to play at?

Also I'm not as up on this as I'd like to be but people tend to say that if you are looking at a 1070 Ti, you may as well just get a 1080

There may be a small bottleneck if you plan on playing esport games on a 165hz or faster monitor... maybe. Games such as CS:GO, Overwatch, and probably Fortnite will run just fine though.

 

If you have a 144hz monitor or slower, bottlenecking won't be a factor.

There might be some bottlenecking, but it shouldn't be that significant so i'd say it's worth upgrading. But the 1070ti and 1080 prices are so close that if you hunt around for a deal on a 1080 you should get it for same price a 1070ti.

Do it! Sure, it will bottleneck a little bit but I don't think you have to worry about it.
