Cant join friends in Chivalry

I have tried to join them using Shift+Tab and it doesn't work. I've also tried to use the OPEN command in the console and it also doesn't work. I don't know what to do. I tried hosting it but it kicked us out of the game after about 1 minute of play time.

Hi @lilwic have you consider that this could be a network issue?

Dont see why it would be, i usually get around 12-18mb/s in steam? They are across the country but i still have pretty good internet....
