Hi peepz :) 

 

I need some help figuring out what CPU and motherboard I should buy.. I want to make a gaming PC and just bought a 7970 Tahiti 3GB.

 

What CPU/Motherboard should I go for if I want to optimize my gaming experience ?

 

Intel or AMD? Best bang for the buck? And so on :)

Intel vs amd is up to you. Amd will have better performance per dollar. I would go for an 8320 or 4670k and get a mobo from asus, msi, or gigabyte. If you go amd get an axt mobo,. maxt am3+ mobo's suck.

i'd go i5 4670k and an ASUS z87-plus because i mainly recommend asus from my experience and the that combo will give you a solid pc

450 you can get a good i5 setup or even a good 8350 setup. It really all comes down to what you prefer

Its only about 2 year ago i bought a all new PC but i want to upgrade, can i use my old motherboard if i want a new CPU (FX-8320 or intel i5) , my current mobo is a : ASRock M3A770DE .. 

No, that board is on the AMD AM3 socket, the 8320 is a AM3+ socket. You would need to upgrade your motherboard as well. I'd honestly go with an i5 4670K and any Asus z87 mobo in your price range

Yes all i need is a CPU and mobo, i have everything else, my budget for these two components is around 450 USD ..
