network card WiFi cut out

So I have a omen 17 laptop and for the past couple months I’ve had this big issue where my internet in-game would just cut out for like a minute and a half, sometimes even 5 minutes and 20% of the time it would disconnect me.

I am certain that it is the PC because other devices continue to work. I have tried everything and I am considering buying an extension such as a WiFi adapter. I’ve teinatalled drovers but it only worked for like a day. It’s not just the game that cuts it’s the actual whole pc, including things like discord. It’s a 60 dollar card that I have searched it up, I think it’s an Intel 7265

a possibility is that the WiFi has to go through corners and stuff through the house through 2 walls and st the end of the room. Not sure how to check for that kind of stuff.

another possibility is that the WiFi card cuts out when above 80c. On the website of the network card, it says that it operates from 0-80*c so I’ve kept afterburner and tried my hardest to make the Pc exceed 80, but I overloaded with stress tests, 20 pings at once, and couldn’t even exceed 75. Oh and I played like three games and it didn’t work.

Just your PC or other devices around the house? never mind just read again

 

do you have a phone? get an app that scans your wifi and what channels are in use and how many wifi networks are in the area

My setup gets -63 to -59 (I guess that’s video steaming quality)

try playing with the wifi channels. If possible select the same channel as others but with the least # of networks on that channel/

Okay I wish i knew anything about networking thank you, as I are noob, do you recommend a software or a method

to change channel you will need to do it manually in the router.

 

there are various apps/programs to use to scan your network
