Yes.

As far as the approximate FPS, it depends on the settings. But you can find that information if you look for various reviews on it (thankfully someone has a list of reviews: http://www.silentpcreview.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=69687&p=605360)

Well I had a RX480 8GB paired with a 6600k in the past and it could max out almost everything at 1080p and hold 60fps. At 1440p it was more like medium settings to get 60fps. What game comes to mind with these settings was Ghost Recon Wildlands. It's a solid card for 1080p gaming.

Main Rig: cpu: Intel 6600k OC @ 4.5Ghz; gpu: Gigabyte Gaming OC RTX 2080 (OC'd); mb: Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD3; ram: 16 GB (2x8GB) 3000 G.Skill Ripjaws V; psu: EVGA 650BQ; storage: 500GB Samsung 850 evo, 2TB WD Black; case: Cooler Master HAF 912; cooling: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo, Lots of fans, Air!; display: 4k Samsung 42" TV, Asus MX259H 1080p audio: Schiit Audio Magni Amp w/ Audio Technica M50x

..and your components are a slight upgrade of both of what I had ^^^

580s have more vram so are better in larger games

No, not unless you are talking about the 3gb 1060.

6gb to 8gb generally makes zero difference.  NV cards tend to also do better in VRAM restricted scenarios, so 6gb = 8gb for all intent and purpose.

Yeah, why not?

You could fairly comfortably run a 1080ti on an 8600k and have no problems. The 580 is a great GPU if you can get it at a good price. Used cards are a great option though, something like a 980ti/ Fury X will be cheaper than a 580/1060 and smash it in performance.

That's an F in the profile pic
