Quick question about drain port

Hey guys!

So I am getting the Evolv X when it comes out in August, and it has a drain and fill port build into the case. I am doing a hard tube loop for the first time and therefore, have never really setup a drain port like this.

I wanted to use a T splitter at the bottom part of the loop after the pump/res and lead that to the drain port which has a cap on it. Will this work? Or will the liquid sitting after the t-splitter get all mucky and gross?

I also don't know exactly how the drain port works. I don't anyone really does though because it isn't out yet. But if someone can enlighten me if I need a fitting for the tube to go into the port itself or not and if the cap will actually hold water in.

Thanks guys!

I haven't seen this case do you have a picture?  But you could eliminate that headache by using the T fitting, then using a double G 1/4 fitting then a ball valve then to that  section where it drains.  This way that area wont have stagnant liquid.  No one wants to uncap a plug fitting that has liquid behind it.  Huge mess.

Yeah heres a pic.

The problem with the ball valve with be that there will be no liquid in that area and that will look like shit IMO. +cost for fittings and ball valve as well

usually the fill port and the drain port are just holes in the case, you will need to install the pass through fittings and a drain valve.

You still need a ball valve behind that stop plug somewhere.  If not when you crack that open it will leak and spray every where when you go to drain.  When you open the plug you want nothing to come out until you crack open the valve.  A t fitting to a ball value is kinda necessary.  If you don't have the money I would recommend waiting until later.  Cheaping out on fittings is the worse place to do so.

I mean I can buy it I just would rather not, but I guess I can't cheap out there so I will get a bitspower Ball Valve or something. Will I need 2 more Fittings if I get a ball valve as well?
