Compatible?

Trizael

Hello! So im still using a prebuild 2009 PC And i want to build a new one.

I am new to building computers, or atleast i never build one myself. But i have seen buildguides. My friend gave me an old case that had an Asrock 960m-vgs3 fx Motherboard in there.

i saw that it is not a real bad Motherboard so , im thought : what if i could ''upgrade'' this computer?. So i want to do that. BUT; I cant find Compatiblility Check Websites with my Motherboard. So im asking here. Could you help? I already found a (i think) Compatible GPU : Zotac Geforce GT730 ZONE Edition. but i am still searching for:

CPU, RAM,PSU,HDD, etc. So please help!

I want to build a Mid End PC so my budget isnt that high! if you can help Please Comment!! And i want to install Windows 10 (the free version)

Buying AM3+ socket CPUs is a waste of money unless you can get one used for extremely cheap.

Sure, but that's up to you to budget. You didn't say how much you had so I didn't bother making a recommendation.

Honestly it's not worth spending money on. At least try and get a 1030.

And instead of buying a new gt1030 you can probably source an R9 280.

No idea. You'd have to figure that out yourself. Research and see if it uses standard mounting, or if the board is custom.

Very true. Even a GTX 970 should be quite cheap on the used market.

Or R9 290x or gtx 780ti.

The blower style coolers on these sets of card. Including the 280 are a bit long but not very wide. They do run hot an loud though

I wouldn't get a 780Ti, they don't fare too well after the updates. GamersNexus did a pretty good review on it.

Gopd to know. It is also quite Vram limited in new games. The r9 does suffer from that aswell but with 1gv extra Vram it doesnt suffer as hard
