Not sure if this is the right subforum, but whatever.

Anyways, my computer's i5-4670k is overclocked to 4.5GHz and I tested it on prime 95 for ~7-8 hours.

Recently however, I've found my computer bluescreens while playing some games. I'm assuming I just need to increase the voltage, but I can't access the bios as my keyboard doesn't seem to work while my computer is booting. No matter how many times or for how long I mash the "Delete" key I can't launch to bios, and after a bluescreen I can't select which boot option I want manually.

I can be a cynical a**hole at times. I apologize if I cause any offence at those time. I also occasionally have issues communicating my point. Extreme introversion + Photographic memory + Some other things.

Keyboards that require driver updates won't work in bios/when booting. Might be some other reasons/reasoning but I'm pretty sure that's what I heard when I watched a video Linus made about an old build.

If you have another keyboard that is just plug and play, or uses the keyboard jack, try that instead.

Edit: I might add that these may work fine once you update the drivers, it's just without them that it won't. If this isn't the case with you (using a plug and play keyboard), try different USB ports, especially if you've only tried front-panel ones. If that works and the front-panel ones aren't responding, might want to check the connection to see if it's faulty or not plugged in all the way.

For compatibility problems, I'd recommend plugging it into PS/2 connector. I'm almost certain you have a USB to PS/2 adapter somewhere :)

Literally have no other keyboards, and it isn't a gaming keyboard. Just some random Microsoft keyboard.

Is your keyboard plugged into USB 3?

Yep. Every port on my computer is USB 3.0.

I'll check if there are any new drivers, or I might try reinstalling my keyboard drivers. I've been using the same keyboard for some time, so there shouldn't be any problems but it could be a compatibility problem with some recent updates.

If reinstalling the drivers doesn't work I'll try to find one. I think I have one lying around here somewhere.....

Yep. Every port on my computer is USB 3.0.

Are you serious? I have never heard of that before well because of compatibility issues. USB 3 doesn't work on boot up because the driver has to load or something along those lines.

I meant to say "I think every port on my computer is USB 3.0".

I just checked on the Gigabyte website, and no they're not all 3.0. I don't know why I thought they were.

Regardless, I haven't changed the port that my keyboard is attached to in a very, very long time. Well before I started having issues.

Well try switching it and see if that fixes it.....

Alright, so I got it to work by plugging it into one of the USB 3.0 ports on the front of the computer. I tried reinstalling the drivers and 3 different ports in the back, including the ones next to the ethernet port, but to no avail.
