GTX 1080 Price Prime Day

So its prime day and I'm looking into building a new gaming desk top. I've heard that the prices of graphics cards are due to fall next month so I was thinking to wait on lower prices. So my question is, is 499 for an EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW good enough to jump on, or should I wait and hope prices fall?

that's actually quite pricey even without considering next gen cards, since the 5% slower (when at the same clocks, that is. They overclock to similar frequencies) 1070ti starts at $450.

But if you can wait, you should.

I'd say that's a pretty decent buy right now, the cheapest 1080 I could find prior to this was around $550, they probably won't start dropping in price until a month or 2 after the next gen cards release (whenever the heck that will be, lol)

True, I always forget that the 1070Ti exists.
