I read this today

I am using  a Z97 ANNIVERSARY from ASROCK and i have 1 ssd and 1 hdd. In which slot should i put my drives? #0 and #1?

It should not make any difference (if all your ports are sata 3, which they probably are as you have z Z97 board). If your both drives are recognized and you have no issues, keep them plugged whey they are.

This used to be an issue on older boards that came with just 1 or 2 SATA3 ports with all the others being SATA2. On Z97 this is a non-issue as all ports are SATA3.
