Under $1000 first build

joshuamurphy

So my friend and I were talking about Steam sales and I asked if him if he would get a gaming PC. He said yes but only if it was under $1000

Could you please look at this and tell me what you think?

PC will be used for gaming and the budget is $1000 NZD max (roughly USD $815)
Many thanks

That is very expensive for a case in that price range. Personally I would get a cheaper case and w/ money saved get a small SSD (30-60gb) for Windows and important programs, no games because they most likely won't fit.

Grab an 8320, WD Blue, Corsair 200r case, 2 x 4gb ram, r9 270 gpu and wtf is with that windows price? For that you could get win 8.

Is he really ready to commit to pc gaming? Actually, just grab a card that comes with the most games and take those as payment haha

A dual core would just be terrible for any kind of modern gaming, really.

"M. Aronnax." replied the Canadian, "your arguments are rotten at the foundation. You speak in the future, 'We shall be there! we shall be here!' I speak in the present, 'We are here, and we must profit by it.'"

http://nz.pcpartpicker.com/p/2rZQT That equals $1000 but I still have to get a power supply and a copy of Windows.

Also I think he will prefer windows 7 over windows 8. He has never used 8 before and would be more at home with 7
