Bioshock overrated?

I'm around 2-3 hours in, was it rated so highly back then because of the graphics? Finished Neptune whatever, it's a VERY hard game, but apparently taking down the Big Daddies gets way easier down the road. 

 

It's a decent criticism of objectivism, but I can't get glued, even remotely, to the story. One minute you're in a plane crash, next you're supposed to save the princess/kingdom/whatever. Why? You just must do.

I think it's all subjective; just because a game has a high rating doesn't mean EVERYONE is gonna like it, and vice versa

I find Infinite a lot better than 1 and 2

 

Also you're playing a story driven game, it is linear, if you want to make all your decisions play a rpg.

I liked the first one when it came out, not sure if I would still like it today though.  Didn't like the second one much but absolutely LOVED Infinite.

I liked the first a lot, the second I didn't get much playtime in, Infinite had nice setpieces but I didn't like the bulletsponge enemies or lockpick hunting.

I'm half way through the first one, but seem to have no time to play between work and friends wanting to play multiplayer games. I did play through the 3rd one and I was pretty much left wondering about the story the whole play-through, but the ending explained it.

I've played the infinite and it was one of the worst games I've ever played.Incredibly boring...
