So I build my first computer about a month ago and everything is fine, on the functional side anyway. But I wanna it to be pretty so I can bask in its tempered glass and RGB glory. Instead, I have a mad unicorn that is vomiting rainbow flickering mess about 90% of the time.

Below are the relevant hardware and software

ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-F GAMING

G.SKILL 32GB 3600MHz Trident Z RGB LED CL17 (2x16GB)

NZXT Kraken X72

Corsair LL120 RGB LED Static Pressure 120mm PWM 2 fan kit with NodePro

Windows 10 Pro, Aura, ICue, Cam

All Software is up to date, BIOS too.

I admit I need help. I read some topic that was about similar issues but there was no exactly the same problem and advice that I find doesn't work with mine system.

The Aura issue is that it not always finds RAM, it manages to sync it correctly about 30% of the times, but when it does it works until I shut down the computer or it goes to sleep/hibernation mode the gamble begun again. The record was 3 correct sync in a row. Another thing is that even when it sync it always starts in default rainbow, not in the mode that I selected. And when it doesn't sync from the start the stick are not find in Aura and just go with its default messy rainbow.

The iCue works correctly more often than Aura but its failure is more spectacular. When I power on the system fans runs default spinning rainbow until I logged into Windows and program starts to load in the background. Then when it works they just switch into whatever preset I selected before I power down the system last time and they also respond to changes I make, well they juśt work with ICue. But when it doesn't the last preset blend with default rainbow with flickering LED and it doesn't respond to changes I made in ICue at all. When I turn off the program fans return to default settings. And turning on and off program doesn't work it just do the same thing.

Cam works fine, I have no problem with it.

It is my main computer, and I see it working correctly less than 10 times a month that I have it. It is very frustrating because its stand at the top of my desc being just a visual failure. And I know I could pay a lot more and have a basic black box that works just the same. But I paid for pretty one and have that.

Because it sometimes works correctly I don't think that there is something wrong with the hardware. Maybe some settings somewhere and I as a newbie just can not find it.
