2nd Opinions on new build

I'm starting this all white PC build soon and want 2nd opinions on it. If you have any better suggestions please let me know. I'm still new relatively new to PC building. I set a budget of no more $2800 and want to keep it around $2500-$2700 if possible. If something is absolutely terrible you don't have to go easy on me just let me know.

Your monitor choice is pretty basic for the power the system has.  Is this not a gaming rig?

You could save a little money with a lower watt PSU and a smaller SSD paired with an HDD, but overall it's pretty good.  White themed build?

Nice build overall, love the part choices although there are some things I would change:

- Buy an Asus Prime Z370-A motherboard or an Asus Strix Z370-E, MSI motherboards aren't the best in terms of the BIOS and VRMs

- You don't need to spend so much on a white PSU because it'll get hidden under the PSU shroud in the case anyways, buy a black RM750x instead

- Buy a 2T Seagate Barracuda drive for mass storage, it only costs around $60

Firstly, B360 motherboard with an 8700K? You could save money by going for a locked 8700 since you're not opting for a Z370 board.

Secondly, a system of this caliber on a 60Hz monitor is a waste, 120Hz at the minimum if you want the most out of this system.

The White RMx comes with white braided cables though, which I am guessing he wants for the 'white' theme. It might be cheaper to buy separate cables (Or extensions) though with a different fully/semi modular unit.

Not necessarily. Games like the Witcher 3 at max settings require a GTX 1070 for smooth 1080p 60 FPS Gaming.

It really depends on which games he/she plays.

you're spending a ton on everything else just to get a lowly 1080p 60hz monitor, cut down on some components for a better GPU and monitor. no point getting an 8700k and H115i if you can't oc anyways with a B360 board, get a z370 mobo instead.

Another anon posted this a few days ago, this would be a far more efficient way to spend 2500 on a gaming PC, save for choosing mouse and keyboard to fit your preference.

Personally, I think this is about the most efficient gaming build for your budget

The MX500 is close to if not the same as the 850 EVO in performance, crucial just doesn't carry as heavy of a brand price tag.  And the motherboard has built in wifi.

So I switched some things around and picked a different graphics card. You said no more than $2800.00 and I am well under that. Found a few possible things that fit inside the 2800 budgets that would increase GPU quality, but not sure where to source some of them, however at least 2 of them are available in Australia. Not sure how you would go about getting them to you but...

If you can find a way to source it then the all white GALAX 1080 comes in at $592.29 USD. Other options cost less US. Not sure about shipping customs etc.

The following is the list of Components I selected for you. Notes: I changed Motherboard, it is a little bit less white heavy, Graphics card, again less white heavy but costs you less, changed the ram to something with same timings and clock speed that is both RGB and has more white at a lower cost than your prior choice.

Changed to a 360MM radiator white cooling solution at the same price as your prior one, and switched cases to save you funds. I also changed case choice from your initial build, again with white in mind. It will support the radiator in top mount, which according to my reading will in all probability be the most efficient placement.

Changed the monitor choice to a 144hz monitor which slightly increased the cost over your initial build(only ~$30.00 more on monitor), but the higher refresh rate means that when your tower pushes more than 60FPS your monitor will let you enjoy the full benefit of them. I also switched the PSU to something far closer to what you will need, though if the other solution with the white braided cables is still more to your liking then the other changes I have made still make the entire build more affordable.

As I was unsure as regards the $184.10 you listed for the Light Loop+Fan package I also made an additional potential cooling packs along with fan controller. The fans are all white, and best as I am able to tell will provide a higher overall case flow than the ones Corsair includes in their combo packs.

Here is the link to that: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zqKYWD

Whichever series of vendors you go with I hope you thoroughly enjoy your build. :D

I was just saying igf he was set on that budget.  And usually SLI is a waste, yes.  However, with a  165hz 1440p monitor, two 1080tis could be utilized, and the titan V is outrageously expensive.

I would just go single 1080 ti for a 1440p 165Hz or wait for the new Nvidia gpu's later this year. Yeah none of the Titan cards are particularly good value.

Nor will be the new NVidia ones.  And they will be a lot later.  However, It may be wise to get one 1080ti now, and wait for new releases to add the second one at a discounted value.  However, you never know when some stupid meme-coin will pop up and kill prices again.  And I know people who paid more for 570s than those 10080tis are right now.
