AMD Upgrade or Wait?

Currently I have an AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.2ghz and I want to upgrade to an AMD FX-8350. Its been out for a very long time, should I get it or wait? Is AMD releasing any new 8 cores anytime soon? (rumors?)

No AMD abandoned their fx series, and focus on their apus now, so no new cpu are coming anymore. Go for it!

8350 is a great chip but get a 8320 mines great

What about the 9000 series?

In the FX line? Not coming apparently. Kaveri is all we have lined up from AMD that's coming very soon in January I believe.

If your motherboard supports it, I'd upgrade to an 8320.

lol I completely forgot about that line of chips. When you said 9000 series I had NO idea what you meant cause those things were just at the back of my head lol. Yeah complete waste of money with those.

Yeah they were so bad, its ok to have forgotten about them and probably is better for amd anyway haha.

Not worthy, there are a few mobos that support them (3 AFAIK) and are expensive... keep in mind that have a TDP of 220 W, which will require good cooling

I didn't recommend it, I was just pointing out that the 9xxx fx series does exist. The 9xxx series really sucks.
