New Headset Time! :D

First thing I'm getting out of the way, is I'm not the biggest person on sound quality. I just want something that will not make any buzzing noises, and is 7.1 surround. I'm fine with alot of bass, and mic quality is not too important. I got normal Razer Kraken Pro,but want something better.

I'm considering the Corsair Vengeance 2100, or the Razer Taimat 7.1. But if there is something out there that provides same audio for a better price, I'm all up for looking and discussing.  Budget is 150$ Max.

Thing I look for in headpones;
Comfort
Long Life Span
Good Warranty
OK audio quality, alot of bass is fine.
No Buzzing
7.1 Surround
Mic
Wireless if possible

Well, around 150$ Max? I'll update it.

150$? you can get beyerdynamic dt's for that! Those are pretty much one of the best headphones out there.

dt 770 pro: closed headphones <--- costs less than 150$

dt 880 pro: half-open <--- costs more than 150$

dt 990 pro: open <-- costs slightly less than 150$

You will need a standalone mic for headphones, but the zalman zm-mic1 costs >10$ and fits pretty much all headphones.

LOL my bad, i completely missread your post, sorry :D

Edit: But i would consider the 990's to be one of the best or the "sweetspot" as linus likes to call it.

I'm considering the 770 Pro's. Everything is better than the Corsair and Razer headsets? I know they might be branded and all, but when it comes to being an audiophile I'm not even close to being that concerned about it. I was also looking at the Siberia also, but is it worth the price?

If it came down to Siberia VS the dt 770s, I would most likely go with the Siberia. Any major advantages I'm missing out on?

Most people will recommend that you get a pair of headphones and separate mic. If your heart is truly set on getting a Headset you should post on Peripherals section. http://linustechtips.com/main/forum/44-peripherals/ Hope you find what you're looking for.

The dt's will almost certainly sound better. Also Beyerdynamic is known for quality that lasts ages.

Edit: But you really do sound like you are set for the siberia, so choose the ones that you will feel better with, the sound quality difference wont be too big.

well I'm set on just a good headset now, not really keyboard or anything. I do need a better keyboard than my Logitech g19, but I know what I'm going to get.

The Siberias have a build in mic which makes it easier for me. No room on my desk for a snowball, and mod mic is a bit too much work, since I'm sometimes rough with my ear.

Do you know which has better 7.1?

Blasphemy!

Any good headphones that are big, and cheap? Like good as in Razer Kraken sound quality? Looking for a pair for my dad, and he has a big head, and ears. Sound quality is not a bit concern, but how long it lasts, and how durable it is will matter.

get him a Beyerdynamic DT 770.

If you need something cheaper, grab a Pioneer SE-A1000.

you sure about that Pioneer SE-A1000? Ear cups look small.

They're the same size as all the other big cup'd headphones. Unless you mean deep - then you'd be right. Another member fixed it by stuffing some fabric under the pads, which is an easy and cheap enough fix considering the Pioneer is the best headphone under $100.
