Acer Predator XB271HU vs Samsung C27HG70.

Andre-

I am thinking of buying a Acer Predator XB271HU or a Samsung C27HG70.

I read that the samsung has better picture quality but it has no g-sync. I only play Quake champions and Quake live, and i will play Devil may cry 5 when it comes out. I watch alot of movies on my computer. The C27HG70 is much cheaper also. What would be the best monitor for playing Quake and watching movies?.

The XB271HU is 1440p while C27HG70 is 1080p so I'm not sure if it's fair to compare these two together.

I personally don't like IPS monitor like the Acer because of Backlight bleeds and glow it makes watching any type of dark movie annoying. I bought a Samsung Quantum dot monitor to avoid that problem.

Main PC = I5 7600K @4.5ghz, Asus Gtx1070, 16GB DDR4 3000Mhz, 480GB SSD, Msi Z270 Mobo.

How are you liking that Q dot tech? Which size did you get? Been debating on getting the 24inch and making my current 24 inch monitor a secondary

Ryzen 9 3950x - 64 GB DDR4 - NVME 980 pro SSD - EVGA RTX 3080 FTW Ultra - FAD CASE

It is your standard VA panel but i like the colors on it. i usually use the eye protection setting was rough for about a day but i am used to it now. I bought a 32inc curved at 60hz since i mainly play story based games on it i didn't need the refresh rate. C32H711 is the one i bought. i personally think 24in is to small i would get a 27in.

Witch model is good for gaming like Quake champions?. I searched google and found this models, 27" CFG73 Gaming Monitor with Quantum Dot, and Samsung Curved C27FG70 27.

From a quick search it looks like the CFG73 is newer and they fixed a panel issue that was on the 70 panels, they also changed the stand design so i would probably go for the CFG73.

But both would be good edit it also looks like the colors are a bit better on the 73

I read a review about the ViewSonic XG2703-GS, it seems to be a great monitor for the money, anyone here that has one?.

How well does a NIVIDA GTX 1080 or 1070 card work with this monitor?, is AMD cards better for this monitor maybe?.

Nvidia cards will work fine, it will just ignore the freesync.
