Budget Gaming PC Build/Setup Recommendations

Hello ? to anyone reading this I’ve already made a post about another build asking help on that, but I’m hoping I can get some build recommendations here which can allow me to stay at a budget of $1500-$1700 USD. I plan to use this build for mainly gaming, school work, web browsing. Also asking for any recommendations on peripherals such as mice, keyboard, headset. As for the monitors I hope to run is one ☝️ 144Hz + any help on which I should buy.

*wish to keep whole set up $1500 - $1700 USD (including peripherals and monitor)

* Blue & Black, White and Blue or Black are what I would prefer for the color theme if possible( optional)

-Edits

*Games I plan to play are CS:GO, GTA 5, Gmod, other AAA titles coming out in 2018 at high, ultra or max settings

*OverClockable

Thanks for any recommendations that are posted. I will also be responding to questions if any about my budget, etc.

This isn't the best performance / dollar, but the build itself will look good aesthetically. You're getting the best looking CPU Block, best looking RAM, and a relatively expensive GPU to pair.

Edit: Just a thought. You might want to get the NZXT Kraken X62 Rev 2 instead for only $15 more.

Here is my pony in the show.

This tower should game admirably, and with the surprisingly good yet comparatively unknown MyDigitalSSD-> benchlink <-  be extremely responsive. As well as have tons of mass storage with the 4TB HDD.

According to the motherboard QVL the 3000MHZ ram should play nice with your system with just a simple switch to the XMP in the bios.

Also included are speakers for the tower with admirable response range as well as circumaural headphones with a respectable response range.

The keyboard is customizable RGB, but sadly wired.

One drawback is that the motherboard and I5-8400 will not allow you to overclock yet for the near future this should not be a major problem as the build should maintain legs under it for at least a few years, and will likely be able to stay useable with a GPU upgrade in a few years time.

Found a reasonably priced 1080 To go with the system that begins with a moderate factory overclock. So you will definitely be able push push as many frames as you need for 144FPS 1080p in pretty much every game around with some adjustments in the more resource hungry titles.

Here is my suggestion.

Since you said you will be using this for some school work, I picked out the 2600X for that extra multi-threaded performance.  This isn't the best Gaming Only choice but is one of the best all rounders for the price while still killing it in gaming.

Paired with a cool GTX 1080, this build will do whatever you want it to with ease.

I chose a P350X for your case because there's really no better case at the price point out there right now.  It has almost every feature you could want and is a breeze to build in.  If you want to go a bit cheaper, just choose a case that fits your liking.
