Look for the cables that have good reviews.

I am but they all have mixed review some give them 5 stars whle other get 1 star

Look for the ones that have the most consistent reviews, say 85-90% reviews are 4+ stars.

You can't just take someone's advice of "look for good reviewed cables" and then say they don't. If anything you are researching has a bunch of good reviews, there's always going to be more negative than positive. I for one have ordered numerous items online and only once received a faulty solid state drive. I gave it a lower score than normal (3 out of 5) but due to the vendor replacing it free of charge, I put it back up to a 4.5 out of 5.

Some people don't go through the effort or realize there is always a chance of getting a faulty component.

Anyone knows of cable that has for sure severed 20th pin? I have been looking on the web, but almost noone ever puts this information in the product info or the reviews. I cannot use cable with 20th pin intact, else I have problems with my PC and monitor.

All VESA-certified cables wil have no pin 20 connection.
