If you can push it up to OnePlus devices, it's totally worth it. :)

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Global (here also, i recommend spending 20 bucks more for 64gb/4gb Ram) + LineageOS Custom Rom, or if you don't want to root/flash at all, Xiaomi A1 (Android One device) (i recommend spending 20 bucks more for 64gb/4gb instead 32gb/3gb).

Probably Nokia 6.1 / 6 (2018).

But if you can, really.. get 4gb Ram optino instead 3gb Ram. It will serve you very well over the years.

Xiaomi devices are great value for money. I have the previous model, the Redmi Note 4x and it's fantastic. Parts are cheap for it too, for example I ended up cracking the screen and a replacement screen cost me £25 and I got it replaced by myself in about 20 minutes.

If you are a person that don't want something totally Chinese, Nokia 3 maybe?

“Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious. And however difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at.
It matters that you don't just give up.”

I suggest going for the Redmi 5 Plus. Its really good a lot of my friends use it and its a great value for the money. Get the 4GB RAM/64GB Storage version.

The battery life is above average at this price point and the screen is really good too. The camera is okay but better than most others. Performance is the best at this price point. I suggest you add a launcher as soon as you get it. You could root it as well and your own ROM if you wish.

Don't go for the Mi A1 it is discontinued and there are lots of quality issues.

The Mi A1 has very bad build quality and hardware for the price. The software is better but a launcher can solve most problems. The Nokia 6 also has worse hardware compared to the Redmi Note 5
