Looking for speakers for PC!

CRobb66

I am looking for something I can play music from my phone or my pc, I am a streamer and am looking to add more to my stream. I also have a new mixer coming Monday, the Yamaha MG10XU. I do not wanna spend a ton, would like to keep it under $150. I would like to be able to hear the music via my headset, then also through the speakers if I wish. I just am not sure what to look for or how to do it. Any and all posts are appreciated.

The Mackie CR4 are good speakers in that price range. Connect your phone to the stereo input of your mixer with an 3.5mm to RCA Adapter and switch everything there.

If your phone doesn't have a headphone jack, you could either get a Bluetooth Receiver and connect that to your mixer or get the Bluetooth version of the speakers and connect it directly. But then you wouldn't be able to use your mixer for the phone.

Checkout the Micca PB42X or MB42X if you have an amplifier, or pickup a cheap Lepai 2020 amp to go with the MB42X.    Your PC should have two audio outputs if not just get a simple splitter cable and run your headphones in one port and the speakers off one heres links to everything you would probably need.

I personally own the MICCA MB42 w/ Lepy Amp for my desk and they're  great mids and highs are very clear I have paired mine with a powered 10" sub under my desk and it sounds unreal.. They don't have a ton of bass but even on their own its impressive the sound the generate.

Good luck with your purchase.

Running the headphones directly from the mixer allows for easier control of separate volumes and makes it possible to hear the sound from the phone. The PC can be connected by USB. No need to use the onboard DAC.

So yeah I seen a streamer that uses Alexa, he says play song, it plays and it comes over his stream. Thats what I would love to be able to do, I mean I bought the mixer so I am hoping it can work somehow with my headphones still in mixer. I was looking at an Echo dot, or Echo, and I am pretty sure I read to plug the cable from the Echo in the line in port and select Listen to this device on my microphone so it would hear what I say, and it should work? I can build a pc, but this stuff is out of my knowledge.
