Overclocking a 980

So i was trying to overclock my 980 using afterburner and valley benchmark in the background  and everything at first seemed fine. I was able to put it to +150 on the core with max power and it seemed ok, then it started to artifact so i took it down till it stopped doing that. I landed at +15 where nothing bad would happen which seemed odd. I am currently experiencing a issue where games seem to only run at 30 fps. Ive checked monitor settings and everything is good cables are all good too. If you have any insight or anything at all please help!

It's probably stuck at 2D. Just reboot.

In that case did you overclock the memory? Very rarely will a core overclock cause artifacting. In my experience it either crashes or is stable. Memory on the other hand is much more finicky
