My friend just got into PC gaming and wants a good game we can all play online, preferably an RPG game, he is really bored and wants something we can all play for ages (Not WoW)

I was thinking of DayZ and Rust, but the are just in alpha

Torchlight 2 and path of exile are great co op arpgs. If you want an mmorpg ,guild wars 2 is really good.

Dota, LoL, Starcraft, need some skillzzz, but fun to play.

 

Guild wars 2 is a good one if you want to go back and play the game again after some break. But notice that the end game is boring as hell.

Torchlight 2 was surprisingly fun so I'd see if you can nab it for cheaps on sale right now.
