Help with planning

oat49

Hello, I've been having trouble deciding on what parts to get to build my computer. i know i want a GTX 1080 but I am having trouble picking all the other parts.I want to build a gaming pc that will last me a good while. I haven't built a pc since the late 90's so any help would be appreciated.

Budget? Country?

What FPS and resolution are you targeting?

Do you need a monitor? Keyboard? Mouse?

In addition to what @Lurick has said, what else do you want to do with the computer? Do you want to do YouTube or Twitch streaming? Any video encoding? Anything you will do on the PC must be taken into consideration...

Sounds good. Put together a couple quick builds that can be tweaked as needed but are a very good starting point.

For the AMD build the AIO isn't needed (same for the Intel build) but unlike the Intel build the AMD chip comes with a decent stock cooler so you could save money by dropping that. For the Intel build if you wanted to drop the cooler down, something like the Dark Rock Pro 3 or 4 would do nicely as well and would shave about $70 off the price.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
