So I currently run a computer with a AMD Ryzen 1500X, a GTX 1060 6gb, and 8gb's of ram, on a 550watt psu. I was just wondering if I were to setup SLI if the 550watt would be enough or should I upgrade? Also being Nvidia, what else would I need other then the SLI bracket? Is there anything else I'll have to buy other then another card? Or once plugged in and hooked up will it automatically adjusted to SLI or will I have to change the settings?

Hardware wise the 1060 cards do not support SLI there are software options such as different SLI auto, but you would certainly want a better PSU, but at that point you may as well just grab a 1070 or wait for the next gen cards.

1060's cannot SLI.

CPU: INTEL Core i7 4790k @ 4.7Ghz - Cooling: NZXT Kraken X61 - Mobo: Gigabyte Z97X SLI - RAM: 16GB G.Skill Ares 2400mhz - GPU: AMD Sapphire Nitro R9 Fury 4G - Case: Phanteks P350X - PSU: EVGA 750GQ - Storage: WD Black 1TB - Fans: 2x Noctua NF-P14s (Push) / 2x Corsair AF140 (Pull) / 3x Corsair AF120 (Exhaust) - Keyboard: Corsair K70 Cherry MX Red - Mouse: Razer Deathadder Chroma

Bit of an AMD fan I suppose. I don't bias my replies to anything however, I just prefer AMD and their products. Buy whatever the H*CK you want.

You should only ever use SLI if you can't make a step up to a better card. Don't SLI 1070s. Buy a single 1080Ti.

You shouldn't be buying SLI unless it's two Titan XPs or two 1080Tis.

Even then, the value proposition is questionable at best. So many modern games run on Unreal 4, which only supports SLI via AFR (it's terrible).

Yea you can’t do it with those cards. Wait to find a good deal on a pair of 1070’s.

And get a stronger psu.
