how do i know if i know if mothetboard supports overclocking

im want to build new pc with ryzen cpu and im on budget so i need help

Look up the model of the mobo. It'll state if it does or not.

If it's a B350, X370 or X470 motherboard it supports overclocking. All Ryzen series CPU's on the desktop support overclocking.

Of course how much you can OC is dependent on the quality of your board, cooler and of course luck with getting a good binned CPU.

 

Reminder: you might want to use something that is not the stock cooler with more extensive overclocking and with Ryzen 2xxx CPU's you need to run a BIOS update on most B350 or X370 boards.
