So

Im building an editing pc and I was just wondering is it possible to make it completely passive cooled

The specs are

I7 8700

Gtx 1050 ti

16gb 2666mhz corsair vengeance

Gigabyte b360n

Corsair CX450

Thermaltake core V1

There is a passive version of the 1050ti

Its made by plait and is just a heat sink

But for cooling the 8700, would getting a massive tower cooler and then taking the fans of work

Thx

Making a passively cooled PC is possible but you can't cram in passively cooled components together and expect them to be able to dissipate their heat properly...Even passively cooled components require air exchange. So you would need to design it so the heat rising draws in fresh air through convection.  That setup would have to be able to dissipate about 140 watts passively going by NVIDIA's and arc.intel's websites. In the end, you may have to choose between passively cooling and a small form factor case...unless you went with something like laptop components maybe

There's no place like ~

Editing on a passive PC I imagine would really cripple the system if the temps got high enough. Not saying don't do it, but be careful of temps, we all know how hot an 8700 can get.

For YouTube? Sure. Easy in fact.

But for editing, no. You will run into problems.

However, you can try going with a large case that can support one 200mm fan in front as intake. This is your best bet. And the 200mm fans are very quiet.

As for the CPU, a big tower cooler from Noctua. Even without fans it will do a decent job. But far from good.
