My friend is having issues with his PC causing League of Legends/ESO to freeze and become unresponsive and I'm not real sure where to proceed from this point on.

He currently has:

 i7-3770

 8GB of DDR3 Hynix ram

MSI Z77MA-G45 Motherboard

Every other hardware component has been switched around and tested with other verified components and issue remains

The issue will always happen from the 17 to 19 minute mark in game

The issue only occurs with these two games

He's done a full reinstall of windows onto a new ssd and fresh download of League and the issue persists

While the game freezes, the computer will computer to operate just normally other than the game which is unresponsive

I've transplanted the system over to a new case as well and the issue persists

I'm assuming the issue at this point has to be hardware related so maybe the CPU? I've checked the thermals and cpu/ram usage of the system and everything appears normal when the crash happens.

Any ideas other than upgrading the CPU and motherboard?

Programmes crashing are sometimes related to RAM issues or HDD.

Get him to run Memtest for a couple of hours, also go into event viewer and see what happens when LoL crashes and if it logs anything in there.

Also with the HDD run CMD as admin and type in the command sfc /scannow after that's ran force a disk check with chkdsk /f.

Good Luck!
