Can you change default Gallery on Galaxy S9

So I may get a Galaxy S9 and Im wondering if you can change the default gallery app to be Google Photos rather than Samsungs "Gallery" app. Like when I take photos I want them to automatically save to Google Photos and when I download an image or video from the internet I want them to be in Google Photos.

Totally possible unless Samsung blocked it, which they probably didn't.

Used Google Photos on multiple phones and it was never unable to be the default.
