Hey guys, after I finish my build, how do I install windows 10 pro 64bit onto my PC? Preferably step-by-step directions. THANKS!!

You'll want to create a usb installation disk to use, I'll add some instructions and images (in spoilers) to help.

Go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 and click "download tool now". Run it, and accept the terms.

Next, select "create installation media for another pc".

Then, select the edition of Windows 10 you're going to need to use - your primary language, and the architecture which will be 64-bit x64.

Next, make sure your usb flash drive (at least 8gb) is inserted and has no important data on it, since it'll be deleted. Then, click next and select "USB Flash Drive". Select your drive from the list, then it'll begin the process of downloading Windows 10.

This can take a while depending on how fast your internet and how congested your connection is. Once downloaded, it'll begin formatting your drive. Don't get concerned if it changes speed during this, the progress indicator is a wee bit weird, it gets to 50% before it actually begins copying files to your drive. This part will also take quite a while, depending on the speed of the USB flash drive you use. It'll finally be done.

At this point you'll have a bootable install USB for use on your new machine.

The steps next I can't quite walk through since I don't know the exact configuration of your new machine, but the idea is this:

1. Insert the USB drive into the new pc after you confirmed the build works and posts.

2. Press the key needed to select a boot device - you'll select your USB drive here. Most motherboards have this as F2 or F12.

3. Follow the instructions to install windows; the link given by @Enderman shows in detail the windows configuration steps.Remove any partitions on the main disk (if there are any) when you come to select where to install, and install to the "unallocated space" on the drive. This allows Windows to pick the best partition layout for your system.

Hopefully this helps.
