Display for designer (or, "how this thing should really look like?")

paprikman

Hi everyone.

I've just faced an issue I've never thought I'd be into. I had to deal with some web design stuff and I realized that the colours look different on any of my screens.

I tried to calibrate them as far as I could, but it just makes things worse. I have some standart HP compaq panel as a daily driver, and also a TN macbook air.

Should I just "validate" everything on macbook and give it up? But what if some users just won't be able to get right experience on this website? I could've just bought one of these pre-calibrated display, but, again, do I need to?

Thanks.

Well if you want them properly calibrated you need to buy a calibration tool...

Depending on what you produce content for, you might need or don't need a calibrated display.

Is that "web design stuff" just for your own personal site, is it for a friend or is it part of a large project for a customer to maybe advertise a brand?

If it’s a big deal calibration tool if not I’d go with the MacBooks colours

Yeah, but it's almost useless without proper display itself...

This is a commercial project, so I think I'll have to deal with this thing eventually. It should be fine for most of display settings though due to proper colour scheme, but I do want to make this work thoroughly.

I also feel like it might be fine. Though I wanted to get some opinions in order to not to fuck up.
