hey, I'm thinking about getting the ViewSonic vp2771 monitor and I have an AMD card and I just wanted to the know the difference between adaptive sync and free sync does anyone know?

If you have an AMD card, you want Freesync as that is the technology AMD uses to sync their cards with the refresh rate of the monitor so you will never see screen tearing or stuttering unless the framerate drops really low (like below30-40fps). So if you have an AMD card you will want a monitor with Freesync. A standard monitor will work just fine too, but unless you are pushing a constant 60fps in games, you may see stuttering. G-sync is nVidia version of Freesync. Hope that helps!
