Best overclock I've achieved yet on an APU

Tea1337

So I decided to mess around with my clock speeds with the corsair H80i PushPull config. With this A8-5600k from stocks speeds of 3.6Ghz(3.8Ghz turbo), I was able to achieve a stable clock of 4.0Ghz(4.2Ghz turbo) Stable with a 8 hour Prime95 test. No higher than 59*c Amazingly. Oh and the Voltage is 1.437, the only voltage it is stable at.

As for the GPU part I was able to get it to 1111MHz stable without any crashes. @1.274V

One question is should I keep going? With this small clock I am able to run shaders now on minecraft :P

What is YOUR best overclock you have ever achieved on anything? Feel free to share!

I have gotten 4.5Ghz on a fx6100 from 3.3GHZ on a corsair h70 with cheap fans in a bad case. Pretty good I would say. Also good job on the APU. I would push it much but a little further would be fine.

I wouldn't go over 1.5v for cpu, I can't give guidance on GPU though. You could probably get more out of it

PC: Corsair C70 Arctic, FX 9370, Corsair H80i, Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3, Corsair Vengence 16gb, Palit JetStream GTX 970, OCZ Vertex 4 128gb and Western Digital Blue 1Tb + 500gb, Antec Gamer 520w

Peripherals: Logitech G19 and SteelSeries Sensei RAW

Toshiba L50-A: i7 4700mq, 8gb, 1TB HDD, GT 740M 2gb

I wont make it go past 1.47 V, and the GPU can't go any higher without a crash.

Wow nice, and thanks, I'll have to try to push it further to see if i can get 4.3 and 4.6 turbo, idk how that will go but it's worth a try.

Definitely worth a try. That was my grandpas rig I built and he loves the speed improvement of 1.2GHZ.
