My issue that I am currently having is that whenever I load up my games(Overwatch, Call Of Duty, Fortnite) they crash after 1-3 minutes of being up. Games such as Minecraft dont crash. Ive had this PC for 2 months, no problems, all of a sudden today its been happening. My Specs are I5-6400, GTX 1060, 16GB RAM, 2TB HDD, 500GB SSD. I have also tried contacting Microsoft support which tried a number of things, updating drivers, backupdating drivers, updating windows, restoring windows from past updates, etc. I need a pro to help me, all help is appreciated!

have you tried reinstalling game files?

or if they are through steam checking the integrity of the files?

where have you updated the drivers through?

how long ago did it start (says today but there was a recent update for my pc like 3 days ago so was it after then that problems were noticed)

have you monitored the cpu and gpu temperatures when the crashing occurs?

have you overclocked any parts?

any new programs installed recently?

have you tried running sfc /scannow inside of cmd running as admin?

inside of the folder where the game is stored there also may be a crash log which could help

sorry about the lot of questions just need a bit more information as it could be many different things

Not reinstalling game files(my wifi is super slow).

Only 1 game is through steam so no.

Through Device Manager.

Yes 3 days ago.

Temperatures seem to be usual.

No overclock.

Only program installed was Black ops 3.

And no.

Answers are in order of questions

try running the sfc /scannow in command prompt (as administrator) this will basically look for any corrupted files inside of the windows protected system files which seems to be where the issue is based on the fact that errors are appearing since the update what game did you test when you got those temperatures and is your 1060 a 3GB model?

Do you have a gpu overclocking program installed such as MSI Afterburner, EVGA Precision, or Asus GPU Tweak?

Do you think it could be my ram? Because I read a problem like this before and he said he tried everything and replacing a ram stick fixed the problem

it could be your ram, just i would make sure it isn't software side of things as i am not a rich person and cannot replace ram and other stuff at will, most people are like that as well, but if it is the ram there isn't really anything that can be done other than replacing it.

Before you go ordering ram download CPU-z and see what everything is doing in the sense of ram, cpu and graphics - https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html

None of this would fix a corrupted dll structure or registry. I’d just reinstall windows from scratch. (Not to a past version)
