Games play perfectly both when in fullscreen, windowed, and borderless windowed. But, when the game is transitioning into fullscreen, it lags my computer for around 2 minutes, they mouse jumps in spurts maybe once a second, and I cannot click or do anything. I simply have to sit there for the minutes to be completed, then I can play. I see no poor performance anywhere apart from when the games are turning fullscreen. Most games I can play in borderless windowed or windowed and completely avoid the problem, but other games it really bugs me.

I have a Radeon R9 390 and an i7 - 6700. I have searched everywhere on the internet and it seems nobody has this problem but me. Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Minecraft, csgo, Ori and the blind forest, overwatch, league, etc. Essentially when anything goes fullscreen.

I am windows 10.

CPU and GPU remain constant I believe, when I am transitioning to fullscreen the task manager stops responding. When it finally finishes, the task manager comes right back and have the same values.

constant? and not responding task manager? that's very odd...

i'm nto familiar with and card temps, but 70 degrees on the cpu seems quite high.. what cooler do you use?

EDIT: your cpu temp is high. it's at the maximum.

kinda yeah. what clock speeds does your cpu get to? in other words, how badly does it throttle...
