GT 740 Thermal paste applying

BlueDevilsrr

So my evga gt 740 superclocked 4gb(single slot) and well the thermal pasted is drying off which is affecting its performance, anyways does it have an integrated heat spreader or do I have to spread the thermal paste on it in an x shape or something along those lines (link to the card : https://www.evga.com/products/specs/gpu.aspx?pn=d24d2da7-fe4f-422c-8dff-ec0e4f0e5560)

welcome to the Linus Tech Tips forums!

the cold plate of the cooler is flat and acts as a spreader.

the kepler die was pretty big, so yeah a 'x' pattern is helpful and slowly draw the cooler to the die to work the non-conductive TIM flat and without trapped air.
