Preferred Window Tint %

I'm finally going to get my windows tinted... however I'm trying to debate if it's worth going 20% or sticking to something "safer" like 30%? What's your opinions on window tints? "Premium dyed" vs "Ceramic"?

2) Closest 3M authorized service provider is quite a drive away. There's tons of other companies nearby that I can stop by.

Check local laws on tint percent, nothing is more irritating than getting a fix it ticket and having to remove your $400 tint job.

 

What is your goal for the tint?  If it's heat reduction get the ceramic, it's worth the price.  Also invest in a good sun visor for the windshield.

 

Edit: I'm rocking 35% and it's plenty for me, I wouldn't want to drive around at night any darker.

So according to the law I can have 50% front and 35% back. I can't stand the windows not matching, so I think worst case I go 35% both front and back, or take a chance and go 20%, cross my fingers that I won't get harassed to much by the police. I know I'd be fine in the City I work for, since I help the police out with all of their computers haha

I've also called a few places nearby and the guy I spoke with said his personal preference and "sweet spot" is 30-35% so maybe rather than 20 I'd go 30%.

I took some tint that's like a fucking mirror and put it on the east facing windows on my house. Saved a fuck ton on ac. Blinds people on the street.

 

For my car I dont care to tint for some reason, i guess i dont expect privacy in my car.

It's not about privacy for me, it's about the look of the car.

Personally the tint adds nothing to the looks for me

I mean it could just be marketing but most of the websites I've looked at claims that the tint will also keep the car cooler when it's parked outside. Hopefully!
