GTX 770s in PCI-express 2.0 16x?

So yeah, I've been wondering if I should buy this motherboard:

It is good for my immediate use, but someday I will probably want to add a second graphics card (GTX 770) in Sli.
So. Will the second generation PCI-express be able to handle that?

Cards can barely saturate pci-e 2.0 x8.

That motherboard isn't sli ready though.

Most, if not all boards support 8x with 2 slots in use.

So yeah, I've pretty much just copied the mid-range pc from Linus' "Gaming PC Buyer's Guide - Holiday Season 2013". My budget is around 1100$.
And the ones saying: "You'll be fine", could you please explain why?

Basically the new cards haven't yet maxed out the bandwidth (speed of data going in and out of the card through the slot) that the PCIe 2.0 slot offers and are far away from maxing out 3.0. Even if some have you won't see much of a performance hit between either. Basically PCIe 3.0 was made to future proof things a little.

Depends on the card but pcie 2.0 x8 or more is recommended for something like the 770.

Because Hanswell's got hot as hell, if you OC the electrical curve is not linear etc etc etc.

@OP it really depends on the card, you should be fine but like Wooden said that board is not SLI ready.
