Hi forums,

So at the moment i am trying to reconfigure my home network due to issues, therefore i reset my modem and router, i have now come to configuration of my router. Yet its online configuration interface will not show up, it opens a page asking me if i want it to auto update firmware, there, whatever i select, once i get to the next page, it shows part of the interface, namely the logo. But the main piece of the screen just stays blank whilst saying that the site hasnt sent any data.

Once i try to load the page again, it just gets me to the screen asking me if i want to let it auto update its firmware, and then it all repeats again. I have tried via phone on wifi, via laptop on wifi, via laptop and lan cable, and then there is the app, which does manage to connect somewhat, but in that app you basically cant configure anything.

So is there any way that i can fix this rather annoying behavior?

Or do i just have a defective product?

Thanks in advance for the help

If it helps: router model in question is the R7000

I kept trying, and now on my phone it said it was updating settings. With a progress bar next to it, i thought i might finally be finished after 4 hours but nope, it got back to the page which shows only the logo, and a place where there is supposed to be something, but that something does not show up.

So back off at start again.

Im completely stuck with no idea how to fix this

Not sure if it will help, but the 30-30-30 reset might help. Basically you hold the reset button for 30 seconds, Continue to hold the button and unplug the router for 30 seconds, then plug it back in while still holding the button and continue for 30 more seconds. This pretty much clears it out. That being said, thats the only idea I have. OR if its under warranty you could try that.

If the reset dont work. Id say the router might be bricked.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Configure through cable or the 2.4Ghz network.... that if you arent doing it already :)

I tried. I know how to do it.

But apparently after 5 hours it finally decided to do something after opening the online config site on my phone again. No idea what was different this time, but it just all out of the blue decided to work...
