it's more than capable of handling a lone 1080ti, but a 1080ti with a lowly 75hz 1080p monitor is overkill. get a 1080 and use the money for a 1440p/144hz monitor instead.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

It could absolutely run it yes, but i recommend a 600w PSU. It will give you a bit more headroom. Especially if you plan on overclocking that CPU.

Load Power Consumption - FurMark

~400w under furmark load with an overclocked 4960x, 550w is more than enough for any 1080ti.

Unless they're planning on getting into VR.

Then it doesn't matter what monitor you have.

A 1080ti would be super worth it in that case regardless :)

Like I said 550w is absolutely capable of powering that system

there's no need to recommend getting a 600w psu when he already has it, even with overclocking there's more than enough headroom.

I know, I misread his post thinking he was getting the PSU and already had the card. My apologies. If he already has the PSU then there is no point in getting a new one when 550w will do the job.

Looks good to me.

For future reference, you can just plug all of your parts into pcpartpicker and check the total wattage up top for a rough estimate of how much power your components will pull.

Or a dual-fan 1070 Ti and overclock it.  There's a pretty significant price difference, especially if you exclude blower-style cards.

Make sure to quote or tag me (@JoostinOnline) or I won't see your response!
