Aluminum CPU Block?

Working on parts keeping it under 120$. all eBay. no Ek or stuff like that, I want performance, not shiny and brag rights, just something to get at 5.4Ghz, and CHEAP! as I know I'm fully capable, but don't have cooling power with this h100i. 5.3Ghz is rarely stable now with this ageing cooler. latest test shows 5.1ghz all core and 5.0ghz cache is possible now. with a few tweaks.

I know much about galvanized what ever it's called.

2x 360mm I need just under 2in thicc-ness.

$49 stealth coolers by a nice brand. 100$ total or less if by all means yes. nothing Chinese.

Aluminum blocks I can't find well enough, does copper interfere with it in this case?

$17 clear for sure. again pls answer the question.

just some normal bendy tubes. $5 clear.

fittings help me, with this pls. 1/2 or 1/4. help me with that. aluminum too. not taking a dumb risk with anything else. need 6. $10

coolants? any good brands? $10

I have plenty of fans, to many tbh.

Thanks.

First of all, the reason people buy high quality parts from EK is because they are reliable, not because they are shiny.

Second, if you're building a watercooling loop you should not cheap out on parts, otherwise you might as well just throw a bucket of water on your PC and buy a new one. It will save you time and effort.

Third, you cannot mix copper and aluminum in a watercooling loop.

Fourth, you cannot just use any tubing, if it leeches plasticizer it will clog your loop.

Fifth, please go do your research on watercooling and spend the right amount of money on something that won't kill your PC. Otherwise you should just buy an AIO or heatsink.

I have done plenty, and the reason I'm not buying EK or main brands is that I can save much more money, going else where. I will read up on the plastic stuffs, thanks for that.

I already have any AIO and don't want another. Never going back to air.

I know EK is very durable and well known for quality. Yes they are shiny too, it's still a joke, bro. nothing serious lol.

I'm looking for aluminum and that's it. Unless you recommend copper, but foremost part this is cheaper.

One actually question for you. Do you think a 1/2 difference in rad thickness will benefit me greatly? Say it's a $30 price increase.

If you're trying to save money then you shouldn't cheap out on watercooling parts because soon you will have to buy new PC components when they die from water.

It seems like you have no idea about how corrosion can affect watercooling loops.

I would recommend you stick to AIOs if you don't have the time to do proper research or money to buy proper components.

A good quality watercooling loop will cost $400+.

You're trying to build one for $120, which isn't even enough for a high end AIO.

Why are you trying to waste your money?

What do you not understand about "this will cost you more in the long run"

I have a $60 H100i ? I'm not looking for a kit. Think of a kit at a kitchen. You need a Fridge, a oven, a dishwasher, a sink, etc. You bundle stuff you may think it's cheaper.

iPhone X $300 to produce. I think that is not as true. $500+ is what I think. They don't and they won't tell us everything. We are here, left to find out ourselves, aren't we. Yes.

Guess I'll just have to prove people wrong. I mean, I have so already, I cooled a CPU with a House fan, people thought I was a fool. I've cooled a with NOS. My dad has down it so have I, that's a thing out of fashion, I still did it. It's not common.

Should I lower my budget? $90? Lower? $75? I will always try no matter what I have to lose. I don't think you know as much about the first thing to help people accomplish stuff rather tell them to go back start from scratch, and turn their opinions down.

That's not helpful for the topic. and it's always topic.

1) $60? so? You can't even buy the H100i new anymore, it's discontinued. New AIOs like the H115i, kraken X62, H150i, all cost far over $100. That is what I mean by "high end AIO"

2) Who said anything about a kit? You should not buy a watercooling kit, different brands have different parts which are best for reliability, which is what matters in a watercooling loop. It is always better to buy the parts separately.

3) Linus cooled a PC with an industrial fan, and it worked great. We're not discussing house fans here, we're discussing you wasting money on a cheap watercooling loop and having to replace components which will end up costing more money in the long run. This is called "forethought".

4) If someone wants to pair a pentium CPU with a titan V because they think it is good, we will tell them no, because on this forum we try to educate people and prevent them from making stupid decisions.

Except those won't start destroying each others if they aren't made from same material.

Any too greatly dissimilar anodic index metals in water cooling loop are serious risk.

For example that cheap aluminum doesn't like either brass (common material in fittings/joints) or copper.

Honestly, if you want that sort of overclocking performance, I seriously doubt that a cheap cooler is going to cut it and could cause damage to your CPU if it is unable to cool sufficiently.

Stop and think a second, something is more than nothing.
