Gigabyte x 79 motherboard (4 full lenght pcie !) 16gb ddr3 H60 watercooler and i7-4320k : 425

I spent a lot on the power supply because i Can reuse it and it was on spécial, the r9 290 and the Mobo ram Cpu Cpu Cooler were used , and i thought I did pretty well.

1000W is pretty overkill, practically nothing in the general consumer market needs over 750W.

It's ok. The PSU is unnecessarily high in price and power, plus I don't think the Rosewill units are of particularly high quality.

The 290 is pretty old to be shelling out that kind of coin, plus it was used when mining was in and cooling solutions weren't as advanced.

The X79 is generally over priced. Depending on what your target was, I'd probably have gone with a cheaper, new Ryzen set up.

Yeah , but i dont think I could have got the same Price to performance with ryzen,or at least not for 600$ US . The power supply Is unreasonably high in power my dad Is the one funding This and thought i was stupid to go with a 750w evga or Corsair psu , far from not enough ! Anyway , if You consider the H60 Is 60$ 16gb of ddr4 Is 150$ a ryzen 1500x Is 180 $ a gtx 1060 Is a lot and a décent b350 motherboard Is 100$, And i would still Be forces to buy a 1000w psu (exactly why i couldn't buy a branded one) , i would Be looking at 200$ more at les Fo the same performance (also had a restricted budget). Oh well hopefully my Next build Will go better, there's a first time for everything :)

Jesus, a 1000W psu. That is so overkill.

You'll likely never need 1000 watts. Very, very few things will draw that much power. You really don't need it.

Eh, if you'd picked up a used Ryzen 1600 and such it'd probably give you better performance. Depends what you're doing, but you'd have 2 more cores and 4 more threads. You can even find great deals on used 1700's. You didn't have to get everything new ;)

Look around. If you scour eBay for a few weeks you'll grab a good deal.

I got my 7600k, Z270 motherboard (higher end), 16GB of DDR4, and a 256GB SSD for $250 Canadian.
