3 short BIOS beeps

Hi all,

 

I have an issue with my PC.

When I boot up my PC, it beeps 3 short times.

Funny thing is, it doesn't happen at every boot, only sometimes (right now it happened 2 times this week).

I have a Gigabyte H370 AORUS Gaming 3 WiFi motherboard (Link: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/H370-AORUS-GAMING-3-WIFI-rev-10#kf)

 

I already did some research, and I found that the beeps mean this: basic memory 64K address check error. (found here: https://www.gigabyte.com/Support/FAQ/816)

 

After doing some more research, I found out that it could be bad memory, or a motherboard issue.

I don't know what to believe, so maybe you guys can help me.

Hello.

 

If you're running memory in dual channel, try and boot with one stick (swap them as well). If the issue persists, then unfortunately you need to find some other RAM to try in the system. Chances are, this is RAM related.
