Upgrading PC Choices

Syralys

I currently have a 6600k Cpu and was wanting to upgrade to the new Intels when they come out, but I recently hit a stump in my life with health bills etc and now will only have enough to upgrade to maybe an 8700k at best. I know I will need a new motherboard to run this cpu and have no issue with that since $500-$600 might be my limit and currently don't have any knowledge on much the new cpus will be.

So took the time to bring it here to you all. I want to use my pc to live stream pc games without needing to hook up my laptop to my capture card and set that up. Would just upgrading to the 8700k just be more reasonable or just possibly wait for the new ones to get a more clear idea?

I'd rather you wait for 9th gen, then buy the second or third fastest CPU in that line. Saves money.

You'll get the most performance gains if you game by getting a 1080 Ti. They should be popping up used for around $600 pretty soon I think. Other than that I would wait for 9700k (my guess will be 8 core overclock to 4.8-5.0GHz) for around $400 and $200 for a new mobo. After that would get a better kit of DDR4 atleast 3200 MHz

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X

GPU: ASUS Strix Radeon RX Vega 56 OC
