Yi Home Security Cam Question

So i'm interested in buying these security cameras from YI home, they have a great app interface and from the reviews and videos I've seen the camera quality is pretty good. Sadly the only thing keeping me from getting one is their privacy policy....It states this (See the picture attached) So i'm wondering if I'm logged on, looking at the cams through my phone will it gathered hashed passwords, browser type, etc. on everyone who is using the network or just the one who is using the app or desktop version? Someone help me understand a little better. Thanks.

Basically it'll store your name, username, email, and your password on their servers.

 

When you log on to their website, they will recieve your IP address, browser and some other information.

So if I'm on my phone looking at the cams it wont gather the hashed passwords or any other information for my network traffic?

"hashed version of the password you select" basically = a encrypted version of your password

Yeah I know but it can be used in something like a rainbow table attack. So when viewing them should I just have on my VPN? I usually do but I was curious how that works
