h100I GTX Cooling

OK So when I stress test my CPU my CPU gets to about 70-80°C but the water stays at 36°C. I'm not sure why it's not increasing with my CPU.

I'm not sure if my cooler is actually doing anything.

Bad mount. If the cpu was idle, a dead pump still wouldn’t be that hot.

It could indeed be a bad mount or a problem with the thermal paste.

Try the following steps:

- remove the cooler

- whipe the old thermal paste using a fibre cloth (and perhaps some isopropyl alcohol)

- inspect both surfaces (cooler and CPU) for irregularities... for example: removed any plastic foil?

- reapply new thermal paste

- remount the cooler

Hope this helps

The water temp will always be less than the core temp but if you getting such a large difference and also have high idle temps then it's most likely a bad mount as the others have mentioned. Also to note you want to ensure the AIO get full 12V power do not set any fan curves on the pump at all.
