Low FPS with good GPU minecraft

Game: Minecraft

I just got my GTX 1080 FE and immidiatly tried to use the seus shaders and 4k textures. For some reaon i am getting 40-70 fps. The problem here is that my GPU is sitting a 30% usage so its not being utilized to its full potential. Is there something i need to change in settings to make it use my gpu.

I allocated 8gb of RAM to the game so that should be plenty.

 

System specs:

Intel Core i5 6600k 4.4 GHz

Msi Z170 gaming pro carbon motherboard 

16 gb balistix ram in duel channel 2x8

Msi GTX 1080 FE 8gb GDDR5X

700w power supply 

 

If any of you know an answer to this problem id be pleased to hear it.

In all likelihood there is no problem, but simply the poor optmiziation of Minecraft.

Minecraft uses more Cpu then Gpu. What is your Cpu usage?

Try with standard textures instead.

it is installed on my SSD and cpu usage around 20-40 %so that shouldt be the issue

Minecraft doesn't need a 1080 to render some 32x32 pixel minecraft blocks. You could run Minecraft with a 1030 and still get 120+ FPS (if the rest of the PC is good)

 

haven't played it in years, but Minecraft runs with 300fps on my I7 4770 with 16gb DDR3 on ssd.

yes but the problem is in the shaders because without shaders i get like 500 fps on servers

Shaders are poop. Most of them aren't optimized and don't run smoothly at all. That's why I never really bothered with them. (This is back in 2015. Idk now)

Minecraft doesn't run really well. I remember when I upgraded from a gtx550ti to a gtx570 I actually LOST fps.

i came from a gtx 960 4gb and in minecraft not that big of a difference. In other non java based games huuuuugee difference

well when i switched that 32 blocks for 512 it can take a huge impact on graphic performance , but well are java and performance allowed on the same sentence?
